The End of Term Valedictory Service

Here are the students who are leaving at the end of the 2005/06 academic year.  Pictured just before the Valedictory service, they are, in the back row: Nishanthan, Suranga, Lalith; in the middle row: Deepthi, Wasana, Saman; and in the front row: Kanniah, Arul.  Another leaver, Wesley, couldn't be in the picture. During the Valedictory service there is the symbol of feet washing.  This is to remind students that they must be humility is a great virtue throughout the life of a minister. Members of staff wash the feet of the leavers and their spouses and then the leavers washed the feet of some of the children and ancillary staff.

Here we see students and their spouses carrying  traditional oil lamps symbolising the need for them to be God's lights in the world in their ministry.

Here is Rosemary in her brand new sari pictured with the Principal's wife, Priya, just before the official college photograph. Priya went shopping with Rosemary to buy this.
