TCL Events August 2008

In need of some funds the nursery had a sale.  Here some children pretend to be fruit sellers.  They are selling plantains (bananas) and butter fruit (avocado).  Friday August 1st 2008 The 2008/9 Sports Day followed hard on the heels of the 2007/8 Sports Day owing to a change in timetable policy.  This picture shows James winning the faculty and teaching staff sprint race, oblivious to Rosemary's fall which damaged the ligaments in her ankle. She got up and came second to James's first!   Saturday August 9th 2008

However Rosemary would not sit and rest and she damaged her ankle further by taking part in the Tug of War. Despite all these valiant efforts on her part, Rosemary's House still came last. And 5 weeks later still has a bad ankle.

At one time on Sports' Day, rain stopped  play.

A group here huddled under an umbrella.
