| On Wednesday November 22nd the college was privileged to have a visit from the eminent Sri Lankan theologian, Fr. Tissa Balasuriya OMI. As well as meeting and challenging the students, Fr. Tissa gave a lecture on the philosophy of "God is Love", including issues arising from the Pope's recent lecture on relationships with other faiths, notably those with the Islamic faith. In the evening he celebrated the Eucharist with Rosemary. This was a most unusual event, a Roman Catholic celebrating with a Protestant and a woman. | A local NGO, Gami Seva Sevana, provided the expertise and labour and TCL provided the materials to create a biogas facility beside the new cattle shed. This sharing of costs made the whole thing possible. TCL will benefit through having a supply of gas that should then save money, while GSS has a demonstration facility close to the main Kandy Colombo road. |

| Rosemary helped the college choose a piano for the chapel. It will be used for western hymns sung in English. For hymns sung in Sinhala or Tamil other instruments are used such as drums, serpina, xylophone and tablas. A violin and a guitar also make regular appearances. The piano will be useful in Rosemary's music classes. | The piano came all the way from Negombo on the west coast and was promptly delivered the day after we chose it. The piano is a Yamaha, not too tall and has a good clear tone. |
