April is the cruellest month in Colombo - very hot and sticky - so the Colombo rich migrate for the cooler climate of the mountains where much entertainment is laid on at Nuwara Eliya. We watched a little motocross around the lake. We also saw a flying boat come into land. |
Victoria Lake is artificial and provides plenty of space for sport and entertainment. It is not especially picturesque - especially under brooding skies - although there are pretty water hyacinths. |
