Maggie Mudalige, a Methodist / USPG Mission Partner had been the College's highly efficient librarian for 12 years, left this year and immediately went of furlough duty to Britain.  But, being married to Kit, a Sri Lankan, she will return to Sri Lanka and, it is hoped, take on some new duties at TCL.  Here Father Stephen makes a speech in the Library:  Thursday March 25th 2010. 

The fourth years who left: Vathsala, Irene, Grace, Richard, David and Nathan.  They came as a batch to say farewell on Saturday Aril 10th as we were setting off for Jaffna the next day.

In April the college was pleased to welcome Dr. Anton Knuth of Evangelisches Missionswerk of Germany.  EMW are kindly supporting an Administrative and Academic Support programme.

A farewell meal with one of the student families on campus, Yeshani, Mantini, Yeherome and Anoma Bandara.  The two daughters are being taught in English medium so it is easy for us to relate to them.

Here is Sister Jothy from the Roman Catholic Church (Sisters of the Cross).who visits regularly to provide and impartial listening for the whole TCL community.

A long-standing desire to conduct some sort of teacher training for the Faculty was finally met in May when Professor Bandara of the University of Peradeniya conducted the first of a series of three workshops.  The workshop is part of the new Principal's aim to raise the standards of what TCL does in all its functions.  May12th 2010.

Four more leavers:  Rev. Dr. A.W. Jebanesan (Jebi) and Priya - and us.  Jebi will become the new President of the Methodist Church of Sri Lanka in August, a five year executive post.
