| We had a lovely, although chilly, few days at Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest in late March with Rosemary's sister-in-law Helen and nieces Zoë and Yasmin. We also had a nice time with them in Henley on Thames on May 30th when the weather was somewhat less harsh. Here they are pictured in the grounds of St John's Convent on Friday May 30th 2008. | Andrew, Dawn, Laura and Jonathan Wood visited us in our little bungalow on Saturday April 19th and brought a birthday cake for James. (Birthday is April 23rd). A very kind thought. The cake didn't last long - Jonathan is a growing lad. |

| Since August 2005 when George and Marjorie celebrated their Golden Wedding there has been a tradition of a Fletcher family day together. This year we all met on Saturday May 3rd for lunch in a pub near St Albans and this was followed by football. George (aged 85 on June 18th 2008) also joined in. We then adjourned to the home of William and Nicola in St Albans. Here from left to right: Brenda, Yasmin, Zoë, Katharine (her husband Brian was at home in Ireland), James, Rosemary, Marjorie, George, William and Nicola. Children in front: Esme, Gracie, Tom seated, Freya and Molly. | A much more long-standing family tradition (over 20 years) is for Rosemary and George to go to Lord's Cricket Ground for a day, preferably a day when England are playing in a Test Match. This year James came along too. It was a very cold day and play was interrupted by rain but we saw some interesting cricket as England tried to bowl out the New Zealanders. Thursday May 15th 2008. |

| We had a nice few days away 9-13 June based in Southwold, Suffolk, with George and Marjorie. This picture was taken on Tuesday June 10th. | George skimming stones on Dunwich beach. Tuesday June 10th 2008. He has not lost the art! |
