Visit to Ella and Haputale November 1st to 3rd 2009

| During the week's break between Semester One and Semester Two we spent a couple of nights in Ella and Haputale but the weather was gloomy rather than glorious, with lots of cloud and misty rain. Even so, the scenery was stunning. We drove towards Lipton's Seat, a famous viewpoint above the huge tea factory at Dambatenne. We didn't climb to the viewpoint itself because the mountain was shrouded in cloud. Tuesday 3rd November 2009 |
