| College Day featured the opening
of two buildings. The first was an office at the nearby temple where
the monk who teaches at the college lives. Here we see the ceremonial
lamp being lit. There is another picture in our July 2008 Newsletter. |
The second building to be opened was the extension to the Women's Hostel.
The growth in the number of women students, sponsored by churches or private
candidates, meant that more accommodation was needed. Here we see
Indradevi, a second year student, showing off her new room. |

The ceremonial lamp, this time
being lit by a member of the Salvation Army, a graduate from the Counselling
and Group Skills course. The drummer is still playing his drum, the blower
of the conch shell rests, while everyone else looks on. |
